The company based in Pavia company transfers a minority stake to the Marchesini Group and focuses on the new challenges of Smart Manufacturing.
After more than twenty years of fruitful and consolidated collaboration, SEA Vision sells 48% of its shares to the Bologna-based company, a world leader in the design and production of packaging machines: the operation underlies a long-term strategic agreement.
In fact, SEA Vision is a growing company – both in terms of human resources (further hirings are expected this year) and in terms turnover: the 32 million euros of the previous year are expected to grow by 40% in 2018. The company will also maintain its headquarters in Pavia, and has recently purchased a new area to build the new and larger company headquarter. The entry of Marchesini in SEA Vision will allow sharing the specific know-how developed over the years, to seize the opportunities offered by the fourth industrial revolution. The goal is to produce packaging machines always more integrated with inspection systems, in order to provide customers with products that can be classified as technological 4.0 products.
“Marchesini Group has recognized the high technical value of our applications in the industrial field, I am proud of this” – said SEA Vision President Luigi Carrioli. “This operation will give us a further boost to develop new technologies and products in the industry 4.0 “. The managing director Michele Cei said: «I am excited to drive SEA Vision in this strategic partnership towards new markets and increasingly complex challenges, with the support of a world leader in the packaging lines sector».
SEA Vision will remain technically and commercially independent and will still be managed by its founders — Luigi Carrioli and Michele Cei — assisted by the Sales Director Marco Baietti and the CFO Matteo Boiardi, backed in the Board of Directors by Maurizio Marchesini (President of the Marchesini Group), Pietro Cassani (CEO) and Pietro Tomasi (Sales Director).
